Join us for a Done in a Day at Food for Thought!

We're excited to announce the opportunity to participate in a morning of gardening for good at Food for Thought in Forestville, and a post-social at Sonoma Pizza Co. from 12:15 to 1:30 pm.

About Food for Thought:

Food For Thought is a nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the nutrition needs of people living with serious medical conditions and at risk of malnutrition and nutrition insecurity." [Click here to learn more]

DIAD Description:

Garden Volunteers help to maintain and harvest Food for Thought's wonderful garden to provide healthy, organic fruits and vegetables for their clients.

  • Volunteer tasks may include:
  • prepping beds for planting
  • working in our greenhouse
  • pulling weeds
  • building compost
  • and harvesting

Because we will be working outside, we recommend that you dress for the weather, bring water, and bring sunscreen and/or a sun hat if necessary. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Requirements: Closed-toed shoes are required for volunteering.
