Through our Done in a Day initiative, Junior League of Napa‑Sonoma members give their time to complete meaningful, hands‑on projects that directly support the local community. These one‑day volunteer opportunities offer members the chance to make a lasting impact in a short amount of time. Each project reflects JLNS’s commitment to supporting women, children, and families through practical service and partnership.

Bite-Sized Projects That Make A World of Difference

The Princess Project

The Princess Project provides free prom dresses and accessories to local teens who could not otherwise afford them. JLNS is proud to support this past grant recipient with set‑up and shopping‑day volunteering.

OVC improves outcomes for youth and families impacted by foster care by providing essentials, support, and community connections. A two‑time JLNS grant recipient, it operates a “store” on Mendocino Avenue offering new and gently used items to families in need each month.

Sparkle Foundation Inc.
Sparkle Foundation gift‑wrapping event

Sparkle Foundation seeks nominations each year for women and families who could use a little extra sparkle during the holiday season. The foundation collects donations and hosts a gift‑wrapping drive in three regions across California—and growing.

JLNS participated in the Winter 2023 gift‑wrapping event, contributing to the support of over 250 individuals and 80 families, followed by a League holiday brunch.

Voices Sonoma
Voices Sonoma BBQ event

VOICES Sonoma has been a cherished community partner of JLNS for many years. This remarkable organization is focused on offering young people transitioning out of foster care the family-like support, acceptance, and accountability they need to achieve their personal goals.

With youth-led core programs—including Health and Wellness, Career and Education, and the Independent Living Program (ILP)— VOICES provides vital guidance to help these young individuals thrive.

Junior League of Napa-Sonoma responds to short-term requests for assistance from the community that meet our mission and are within our interest areas, but outside the formal project development process.
