Volunteer at Caritas Village with CMOSC Museum-on-the-Go! The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County (CMOSC) is asking JLNS for 1-2 Volunteers this Friday, 7/7 from 11:45am-3:15pm at Caritas Village in Santa Rosa to assist with the CMOSC Museum-on-the-Go (MOG) which will be there to serve the children living at Caritas Village. CMOSC is expecting 15-20 children to participate, and they have one volunteer, Jose the Outreach Coordinator. They would like 1-2 JLNS volunteers to assist Jose. Training will be provided on-site. The Museum-on-the-Go program delivers playful transformative experiences to the diverse audience of Sonoma County. Committed to building connections in our community, Museum on-the-Go participates in community family events to bring our unique programming to children who may not otherwise get the opportunity to visit our permanent Santa Rosa location. Museum-on-the-Go typically features collaborative STEAM-based activities such as build-you-own rockets (and launch them too!), nature-based creative arts, exploring physics concepts with balls and ramps, and construction projects with Keva planks and Imagination Playground blocks. Museum-on-the-Go activities are most appropriate for children ages 3-10. Please contact Katie Bivin & Carol Morse, Co-VPs of Community Outreach at community@jlns.org ASAP if you can assist.
