Girls on the run (GOTR) is a national non-profit organization that designs programs to strengthen third- to eighth grade girls’ social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills and help them successfully navigate life experiences.  GOTR Sonoma County launched its first season in September 2007 with only 2 sites and 34 program participants. Since then, Girls on the Run has continued to grow in Sonoma County, adding more program participants, sites, teams, sponsorships and volunteers every season. Today Girls on the Run Sonoma County has offered this extraordinary experience to over 7,000 girls on 430 teams and provided over $340,000 in program and shoe scholarships to those (40%) with financial need.  https://www.gotrsonomacounty.org/
